The Ayn Rand Study Group at The University of Minnesota is a student organization promoting the study of Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand. Ayn Rand was the author of Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead and many other fiction and non-fiction books. The club hosts lectures and debates, watches and listens to recorded lectures on various issues, holds discussion groups, and studies Ayn Rand's novels and nonfiction.
Knowledge of or agreement with Ayn Rand is not required to attend meetings or events or to take advantage of what the club provides. All that is needed is respectful conduct and a desire to learn.
The Facebook group serves as a means of providing information on upcoming club meetings and events; information on conferences, scholarships, internships, and other programs of interest to students of Objectivism; a forum for discussion; and a means for current and former club members to network with one another.
Students and non-students are equally welcome.
Email the group at the address below to find out current meeting times and location.
